Monday Made is not only a service for providing professional and productive outcomes, it is a vehicle for learning and growing.
I started Monday Made to create a safe space to explore your uniqueness, to build safety around your obstacles, and to put yourself, your value, and your needs in the forefront of what you do.
What I hope is that I offer effective solutions that free the grip of what you believe holds you back.
It is in this spirit that I remain in persistent awareness of the privileged position from which this was created, and the communities that we continue to hold back through systemically embedded oppression.
I believe everything I do is a work in progress and so too is this business. Monday Made is committed to amplifying awareness and education of the systems of oppression in which it participates and directly benefits from, to giving back to community organizations advancing racial and social equity, to creating an active system of due diligence to hold accountable the vendors and partners with which we engage, and to sharing openly and honestly the mistakes made and learning opportunities created toward consistent, enduring, and active antiracism.
On this journey I will make mistakes. Constructive corrections and opportunities are welcome, and shaming and hate speech are not.
AMPLIFYING AWARENESS
VIA BLOG + SOCIAL MEDIA
At least 20% of all blog content and Instagram posts will include, feature, or reference a social issue, resource, piece of education / publication, or educator advancing equity for a marginalized population, with particular focus on Black / Indigenous / People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ+ community.
GIVING BACK
DONATION OF ALL PROFITS
5% of all profits will be donated to an organization advancing social good.
Organizations will change quarterly but will receive an equal donation amount at the end of the year. No organization will receive a smaller donation than another because Monday Made had a lower business quarter.
Preference will be given to local organizations in our immediate geographic vicinity. Suggestions are always welcome.
DUE DILIGENCE
ACCOUNTABILITY IN PARTNERSHIPS
All vendors will be asked for their stance on Black Lives Matter as well as the actions being taken to ensure equity within their organization as well as their industry.
Results of these inquiries will be made public.
While we will always strive to work with only vendors aligned in values, this is a long-term goal balanced with our desire to offer a positive customer experience and product.
HONESTY
TRANSPARENCY
When possible, appropriate, and without compromising privacy of any other party, we will make public the mistakes made on the road to antiracism and persistent action.
We will also share the learning we seek out and are offered. We will never silence a critic so long as it is within respectful bounds at our discretion, and in service of advancing a necessary conversation and systemic change.

Funds go directly to revival of Duwamish tribe, owners of the land on which Seattle was built.

Removing barriers to accessing mental health counseling for Black women of all ages.

SCHOOL TO PRISON PIPELINE
Providing real support and resources to end the school to prison pipeline and treat youth with the care and dignity they deserve.
VENDOR + PARTNER DUE DILIGENCE
We are currently compiling responses from our vendors + partners on the company stance on Black Lives Matter, the actions being taken to ensure greater racial equity, education being provided and invested in, and equitable access to employment and/or resources for disadvantaged populations.
